Yes, the big party is over in South Africa. We took our flags down yesterday, to the sound of our mini.vuvuzelas. I really wish that those who are making a lot of money out of these now world famous blasters would transfer a percentage of their profits to the "Egg man", Saddam Maake, who aparently developed it from the ancient form of the Kudu horn to the plastic trumpet. Fair trade!


We have a new partner helping us get the ball rolling here in Köpenick. "Kulturwerk Schöneweide e.V." Have a look at their website. They do a lot for culture in Treptow-Köpenick. Thanks to all who are donating and helping us. A list will go up when I have the full info.

Today,13th July our first Kids University "International Communication" session starts at 14.30 at FEZ. We in Köpenick, will be blogging Kimberley and getting into real-time contact. The next sessions are 27th July and 3rd August at the same times.

Die Ausstellung ist Teil des „Kietzer Sommer“, einem Straßenfest im Köpenicker Kietz zwischen charmanten und wunderbar restaurierten alten Fischerhäusern.

The Carneval of Cultures has grown into a huge event, with nearly 100 floats showing how varied life in Berlin is. I was lucky enough to be invited to be on the jury with seven others, and so get a grand-stand view of this carnavalistic life! Great! Thank you all.
